Lighting note

I am passing this along so that you know that your input is valued and welcome on the placement of the proposed lighting.  The stakes mark the current proposed placements but your input may be sent to keith Moore.  You need to act quickly on this, though!  Marilyn

Lighting Project Update

It’s been awhile since the subject of our neighborhood light project has been in the air. The City of Winter Park recently communicated with me and I met directly with Mr. Keith Moore of the planning department. The City has finally completed an initial review of our request to be considered for a neighborhood lighting project. It seems the city is now in gear to proceed subject to our continued support.

Found Dog

Last night around 10:00, this cute little dog scampered across our cul de sac. The dog is a long dachshund. It's  feet pads were very worn out and torn and it was very hungry like it had been out wondering for a while. Could you send a WP Hills message to see if this dog belongs to someone in our neighborhood? You can give my name and number to call. The dog needs to be identified by gender and collar.
Thanks!

Car Break-In

I just received news that two neighbors had their cars broken in to on the night of June 12. The break-ins happened in the Verona and Neola area. Please remember to keep your cars locked and bring any valuables in to your house. Also, consider it suspicious if you see kids/teens hanging out near your neighbor's cars!

Lost Cat

Marilyn,
Could you send out an email to the neighborhood? Last night Curiosity (our indoor cat) went on the front porch and we forgot to check on her and she was left outside all night. We have searched our front of the neighborhood, including going into surrounding backyards. We cannot find her. She has vertigo, and spins in circles a lot. She does not wear a collar, or have a chip. She is 11 years old and weighs about 14 lbs. A photo is attached.
Thanks, Carol Davis & family

Note from Marilyn: You can find Carol's contact info in the directory at WPHills.com

Picnic Leftovers

Thanks to everyone who came to the picnic on Sunday. We got to welcome new(ish) neighbors, Shawn and David Swetmon, and newer neighbors, Tara and Darren O'Neill. We also heard from the WPPD about Neighborhood Watch. Mostly we ate dessert!!!!! :) There are a few items at my house that were left behind. If you are missing a metal koala bear tray, a white towel with small red stripes, a plain metal serving spoon, or a large white plastic serving spork, I have them!!! Thanks to all who attended. Look for the Fall Picnic in late October. Marilyn
